Free Events at Southbank Centre

Southbank Centre regularly hosts free events, performances and exhibitions across the site. Wind down at the end of the working work and enjoy live music on Friday evenings performed by today's leading musicians and bands, including up-and-coming musicians pianist Huw Warren, The Chico Chavas Project featuring Dave O'Higgins and Funk Off, an exuberant 15-piece marching band. Alternatively, enjoy some free music on Friday lunchtimes in the Central Bar of Royal Festival Hall, with performances of small-scale classical and contemporary music from younger music students. Our Sunday choral strand continues each week, with performances of a wide range of vocal music from singers, choirs and ensembles from across the country. This Christmas, The Clore Ballroom is home to an inflatable screening room - the Igloo Cinema - which hosts film screenings, talks and performances throughout the festive season.
